Mixed (Awase) Miso

"Awase" means mixed or blended. Awase miso is a blend of well aged barley miso with a light koji miso. It is grounded before packaging, for ease of use.
Ideal for all dishes, soups and casseroles. Complements well with vegetables, tofu, seaweeds, shiitake and dried bonito.
Preparation : It is best to add miso when the soup stock starts to cool for one or two minutes after turning off the fire. It is recommended not to over boil the miso.
Ingredients : Soybeans, Water, Rice, Barley, Sea Salt and Aspergillus Oryzae (koji).
Storage : Keep in cool place. Refrigerate when opened.
